This Is

This is my family
This was before things changed
When we were mildly happy
and clueless
This was when i was young and unsure
This was before we all left
This photo exists beyond my life span
This photo is a lie

Photos of the millennium

Through the smoke and tears
The gunshots and screams
Every set of eyes distracted
Attention differed for the slightest moment.
Hidden in the background
A capsule to another world
A place filled with love not hate
Everything is so simple
We all want one thing
The only thing that can’t be won or bought
The one thing you won’t get from war and death
The only thing that sets us apart
The couple in the street
Expressing their heats to the world
Forgetting about the death and decay
And soaking in the warmth each other brings
This is how it’s supposed to be

This is the world we should live in.
 Cowards
Cowards are the ones hiding behind those shields
Blocking their own harm but providing it for others
For a mother and a child
Something every civilization relies on
To be a coward
Is to be obedient
Obedient when the orders are unjust
And when a greater power overrules them
The power of kindness
Love, trust, humaneness
To my knowledge
These shields of men are no men at all
They get praised for their bravery in their own countries
How does this qualify as bravery or leadership?
We are all able to think for ourselves
And if none of these men saw this woman and child
And ruled in no regret for their unnecessary actions
Than they should go back home
And learn what it is to be a human being
And then try again.

Lyrics Shuffle

Well, me I follow the dark.
The words are wrong, luck a lump in my throat.
Love me every single day
with the touch of a hand in mysterious ways.
I just wanna tell you I'm thinking
and I'm scared.
So honey now, follow me to the dark.

Music Questions

1. While listening to music, I typically try to listen to songs that express what I’m feeling. Music just seems to put into words and almost tell me my thoughts on a situation. It can be very empowering as well as ground breaking.
3. Its changed quite a bit. Before, I kind listened to whatever my sister would listen too, or whatever was most popular at the time. But now if discovered a great deal of depth in music that just draws me in. I love music, I can listen to anything. But I prefer the songs that exhibit a great deal of talent. Talent through the vocals, in the rhythm, and in the words. When I song can paint a scene in my head and make me feel the way the artist did, then I’m in love.
5. My friends definitely have the same appreciation for music as I do. It’s just such a big part of my life and it’s something we like to share with each other. It’s important to us, of course we want to share it with each other and experience the gift of music together. Also, I like people who can appreciate talent when they hear it.
6. Without music, the world would be quite. People wouldn't know how to completely express themselves to others, a great deal of communication would be lost.

8. I admire the music of Ed Sheeran and Halsey, because they really know how to put the feeling into songs that they want the people listening to feel. They are poets with the way the word situations and everything in them. They also don’t go for the typical objective of love or lost, its distinct stories about whatever they want and it’s fabulous.
